Bandung (Rifyu.com) – The Office of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) of West Java Province (West Java) sent a team to investigate viral news about company bosses in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency requiring them to sleep together in order to extend work contracts of female employees.
“So for the Cikarang case, we have assigned a supervisor there because I am sure it is not the entrepreneur,” said the Head of the West Java Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans), Rachmat Taufik Garsadi, on the sidelines of the International Labor Day or May Commemoration Summit. Day 2023, in the city of Bandung, Thursday.
His party believed that the news about the boss of a company in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, who required sleeping together to extend the employee’s work contract, was carried out by an unscrupulous person.
“Because the company already has rules, there are company regulations that the cooperation agreement is the highest rule in the company. So if there is an extended contract and so on, it is already in the company rules and those are certain persons,” he said.
The West Java Manpower and Transmigration Office, said Taufik, has not been able to disclose the results of the investment team that has been sent by his party to Cikarang, regarding this news.
“But I can’t say yet, because my team is still conducting an investigation there,” he said.
He said that if the company boss’s dishonorable actions were proven, he could be dragged into the realm of law.
“So if it’s a person, the realm is not industrial relations. That’s definitely the authority of the criminal realm,” he said.
According to him, so far no cases have been handled or found cases of company bosses in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency who required sleeping together to extend the work contract of female employees.
“There has never been a case like that. The most that I have received reports is that there has been harassment, harassment at work. And if there is an incident in the workplace of that kind of harassment, you can directly make a complaint either to our agency or at the UPTD or the easiest way is through Ready KK application,” he said.
