Jakarta (Rifyu.com) – Director General of Regional Financial Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemdagri) Agus Fatoni asked the regions to realize the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) since the beginning of the year so that the benefits can be felt by the community and development can proceed immediately.
“The Ministry of Home Affairs continues to hope that the APBD can be realized quickly since the beginning of the year and the realization is large so that the APBD can be felt by the community and development can run,” Agus said in the Bali and Nusa Tenggara National Movement for Food Inflation Control (GNPIP) virtually at Jakarta, Wednesday.
He said the realization of the APBD since the beginning of the year is very important so that it can be circulated in the community so as to increase people’s purchasing power.
“Currently, the APBD money is more than Rp. 1,200 trillion. If it is circulated at the beginning of the year, this will boost people’s purchasing power and then it will also increase people’s purchasing power and this will have an impact on improving the economy in society,” he said.
APBD also needs to be realized as soon as possible so that the development carried out by the regional government can be carried out at the beginning of the year, not from the middle of the year or at the end of the year.
“If construction has been carried out since the beginning of the year, the community will feel the presence of the government and the state, and the public will know that the state is carrying out development, the regions are carrying out development so that the level of public trust is higher. If the level of public trust is higher, then community participation will also be higher,” he said. .
Realization of the APBD needs to be implemented from the beginning of the year so that public services are carried out throughout the year so that people will have more confidence in the government and feel more that the government is working.
“If public services are carried out at the end of the year because the auction is late, for example, then the community can only feel the development only at the end of the year,” he said.
Apart from that, Agus said that the APBD also needs to be realized since the beginning of the year so that people’s welfare increases.
“Increased development, increased public services, increased people’s purchasing power, this will definitely have an impact on increasing people’s welfare,” he said.
In addition, the realization of the APBD implemented since the beginning of the year will also have an impact on increasing regional competitiveness so that investors will come to invest, and in turn will move the wheels of the regional economy to improve people’s welfare.
“Let’s push for the realization of the APBD since the beginning of the year so that the goals we set can be achieved. If the APBD is not absorbed then most of the goals we have set will definitely not be achieved because the program is not implemented,” he said.
There are five ways that can be done to increase local revenue, namely intensifying sources of income, carrying out extensification by expanding or exploring sources of income that have been stipulated in the law but have not been explored, digitizing local government, increasing resource capacity. people and innovate.
“With these five steps, hopefully regional income can increase, development costs can increase so that development and public services can be carried out, and people’s welfare will also increase,” he said.
