Jakarta (Rifyu.com) – Acting Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Muhamad Mardiono said the meeting of the general chairmen of six political parties (political parties) with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday evening, did not address the issue of reshuffling or reshuffle cabinet.
“Oh, nothing at all. No mention of the cabinet,” said Mardiono after the meeting which lasted 2.5 hours at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday night.
He explained that the meeting between the heads of political parties and the President only discussed how all parties, especially political parties, should maintain national political stability.
The emphasis is on political stability because currently Indonesia will enter a political year ahead of the 2024 General Election.
“So that the people can later enjoy that the democratic party can really be enjoyed by the people,” he said.
By maintaining national political stability, according to Mardiono, the Indonesian people can enjoy the 2024 General Election as a democratic party.
Furthermore, the elected leader of the 2024 election can lead Indonesia to face all the challenges that exist in the future, including the challenge of optimizing the demographic bonus.
“Our demographic bonus has an opportunity for the next 13 years. We can’t miss this. If we miss getting the demographic bonus, then maybe this opportunity will pass later,” he said.
The meeting between Jokowi and the ranks of the supporting political parties was held in private from 19.00 WIB to 21.30 WIB.
All the general chairmen of the supporting political parties were present, except for the general chairman of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh.
The meeting was held in the midst of an increasingly heated political situation ahead of the 2024 Election after the PDI Perjuangan declared the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate. PPP then decided to carry Ganjar.
Ganjar is a political figure who has high electability from various surveys.
Apart from Ganjar, former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has also been declared a presidential candidate by the Coalition for Change which consists of the Nasdem Party, PKS and the Democratic Party.
Another figure who has a high level of electability is Ketum Gerindra Prabowo Subianto, whose party has formed a coalition called Kebangkitan Indonesia Raya with PKB. Meanwhile, Golkar, PAN and PPP formed the United Indonesia Coalition.
