Keerom, Papua (Rifyu.com) – Pangdam Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih TNI Maj. Gen. Muhammad Saleh Mustafa received six firearms (senpi) as a result of raising the former Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Keerom Regency, Papua Province, Lambert Pekikir and Lazarus Karoba, Monday.
TNI Major General Muhammad Saleh Mustafa in Keerom, Monday (1/5/) said that the six firearms raised from the former KKB area of Keerom had been carried out since 2022.
“We ask groups that are still different from Pancasila ideology to immediately surrender their weapons and return to the Republic of Indonesia because Papua is Indonesia,” he said.
According to the Military Commander, his party invited the KKB to stop violent resistance using firearms and then return to being good Indonesian citizens and contribute to development in Papua.
“Let’s change the views that are still contrary to the ideology of Pancasila and replace it by building our own territory,” said Muhammad Saleh Mustafa.
Meanwhile, Keerom Regent Piter Gusbager said that now the area is a peaceful area, moreover the local indigenous people have also rejected armed violence.
“This indicates that we want to build a better Keerom Regency so that people can live safely and comfortably,” he said.
According to him the peace agreement also represents a peace agreement for the land of Papua because the younger generation in the area wants to settle down for a brighter future.
“We don’t want the situation that happened before to happen again in the future so that the children in Keerom Regency can realize their dreams,” he said.

For your information, the firearms handed over included an FN-46 pistol made in Belgium (eight rounds of nine mm caliber ammunition) and one magazine, one Walther pistol made in Germany, six rounds of nine mm caliber ammunition and one magazines.
One M1 Caribne rifle of eight mm caliber made in the USA and four magazines and 236 rounds of ammunition, one Winchester Magnum blBolt model 700 rifle made in the USA, one magazine and three rounds of three mm caliber ammunition and two short and long barrel silencers.
Then one 8 mm caliber M1 Caribne rifle made in the USA, 2 magazines and 18 rounds of ammunition and one 8 mm caliber M1 Caribne rifle made in the USA, 1 magazine and eight rounds of ammunition.
