Jakarta (Rifyu.com) – Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds hit the Kalimalang Pondok Bambu Inspection Road, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Thursday afternoon.
The extreme weather disrupted the view of motorists from Bekasi to Cawang or vice versa. In fact, there are four-wheeled vehicles that turn on hazard lights (hazard) and drove at low speed.
One motorcyclist, Heru, said that the heavy rain accompanied by strong winds disturbed his vision.
So, he was forced to park his vehicle under the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) toll road.
“Even if you’re wearing a raincoat, it’s still hard to see, it’s really heavy, it’s better to cool off for a while,” said Heru.
According to him, this event often occurs before entering the month of May.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) previously predicted that rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds would hit parts of West Jakarta, South Jakarta and East Jakarta on Thursday afternoon before evening.
“Beware of rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in parts of West Jakarta, South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the late afternoon,” the BMKG wrote on its official website monitored in Jakarta, Thursday morning.
According to the BMKG, the atmosphere in most areas of DKI Jakarta on Thursday morning was cloudy. Only the Thousand Islands area experienced light rain.
The light rain shifted to East Jakarta and North Jakarta on Thursday afternoon, while other areas were partly cloudy and partly cloudy.
