“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful to have arrived in Jember. Our arrival here is to attend Habib Sholeh Al-Hamid’s haul at Tanggul,”
Jember, East Java (Rifyu.com) – Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan visited the private house of Jember Regent Hendy Siswanto which is often flooded when heavy rains hit the local area in Jember Regency, East Java, Saturday afternoon.
Anies and his entourage used a private plane to land at Jember’s Notohadinegoro Airport and were greeted by the Jember Regent, Nasdem Party officials and volunteers who supported him as a presidential candidate (capres) in the 2024 Presidential Election.
“Thank God, we are grateful to have arrived in Jember. Our arrival here is to attend Habib Sholeh Al-Hamid’s haul at Tanggul,” he told a number of journalists at the private home of Regent Hendy Siswanto on Jalan Sultan Agung Jember.
According to him, his visit to a number of regions in Indonesia, including East Java, was part of his responsibility because he received a mandate from the Nasdem Party, the Prosperous Justice Party and the Democratic Party to advance as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
“We come, hear, absorb aspirations, and see the latest developments in society to solve a number of problems such as justice, inequality, poverty, and employment so that society can be better,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jember Regent Hendy Siswanto said the reason for entertaining Anies in a private house and not at Pendapa Wahyawibawagraha was because he was already familiar with the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
“Bang Anies has a long history with us when I live in Jakarta and I am the general chairman of Pendapa Nusantara 45. We have a fairly close emotional bond, like family,” he said.
After enjoying dinner at Hendy’s private house, Anies shifted to the Radio Office on Jalan Danau Toba, Tegalgede Village, District and continued hanging out at the Thin-thin Cafe which is next to the private radio building to talk with the community, groups of volunteers and sympathizers who support him .
During his visit to Jember, Anies was accompanied by his campaign team, Head of Media and Public Communication of the Nasdem Party Central Leadership Council (DPP) Charles Meikyansah, Chair of the Regional Leadership Council of the East Java National Democratic Party Sri Sajekti Sudjunadi and a number of senior Jember Nasdem Party officials.
