1. KPU designs a two-panel vote counting method in the 2024 election

The General Elections Commission (KPU) designed a two-panel vote counting method for the 2024 elections to prevent incidents where many poll workers (KPPS) died as in the 2019 elections.

“We designed a vote counting policy using the panel method, in which the implementation of the vote count was divided into two panels,” KPU RI member Idham Holik told reporters in Jakarta, Friday.

General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto emphasized that his party is very solid with the National Awakening Party (PKB) in the Great Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR).

PDI Perjuangan together with the United Development Party (PPP) will prepare steps to jointly invite other political parties to support the Indonesian presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

“PDI Perjuangan and PPP are jointly inviting other political parties to join in supporting Ganjar Pranowo’s candidacy,” PPP Secretary General Arwani Thomafi said in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday.

4. Deputy Head of Golkar: The KIB meeting has not yet decided on a presidential candidate

Golkar Party deputy chairman (Waketum) Firman Soebagyo said that a meeting of members of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) on Thursday (27/4) evening had not officially decided on the presidential candidate (capres) that the coalition would support in the 2024 presidential election.

“The KIB presidential candidate has not been decided even though Golkar has decided on Airlangga as a presidential candidate through a national meeting and the United Development Party (PPP) has nominated (Central Java Governor) Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate,” said Firman, in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday.

5. The IKN Authority positively welcomes Penajam in building the identity of Serambi Nusantara

The Archipelago Capital Authority welcomes North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, building an identity with the slogan “Serambi Nusantara” as the Indonesian capital is being moved from Jakarta to parts of the area, namely Sepaku District.

“The people of North Penajam Paser Regency certainly have a lot of hopes with the relocation of the Indonesian state capital so that it gives the regional slogan ‘Serambi Nusantara’,” said IKN Authority Head Bambang Susantono at Penajam, Friday.
