Kupang (Rifyu.com) – PT PLN (Persero) Main Unit for the East Nusa Tenggara Region has provided seven Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) fast charging to support the use of electric vehicles in the implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency.

He said this was related to the readiness of electric vehicle support facilities to support the implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo on May 9-11.

Sindu Putra explained, seven SPKLU fast charging it is placed in the yard of the West Manggarai Regent’s Office which is ready to be used for electric vehicles carrying heads of state, delegations, as well as supporting operational vehicles.

Apart from SPKLU, he said, his party is also preparing facilities standing home charging scattered in hotel parking locations or lodging places for heads of state and delegates.

Sindu further said that PLN had increased the resilience of the electricity system in Labuan Bajo so that the electricity supply for the ASEAN Summit could run safely and smoothly.

PLN has also alerted as many as 320 personnel who are ready to move quickly to mitigate risks in carrying out security and responding to customer needs.

In addition, he said, preparing supporting equipment such as 47 sets of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), 21 sets of mobile substations (UGB), 6 sets of mobile cables (UKB) and 34 gansets.

Sindu Putra added that not long ago, PLN had also formed one command center as the center for control and monitoring of electricity alerts during the ASEAN Summit.

“The command center is equipped with monitoring equipment with the latest technology in collaboration with PT PLN Icon Plus,” he said.
