Jakarta (Rifyu.com) – PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I served as many as 310,054 airplane passengers during Idul Fitri 1444 Hijriah, 22-23 April 2023.
AP I also noted that it served 2,397 aircraft movements at the 15 airports it managed, during the two days of Eid.
“During the two days of Eid 2023, we recorded a pretty good growth rate of passenger and aircraft movements compared to last year, namely 28 percent each for passenger movements and 12 percent for aircraft movements. The number of passenger and aircraft movements in the second day of Eid has even increased compared to the first day,” said AP I Main Director Faik Fahmi as quoted from an official statement on Tuesday.
This, he said, shows that the mobility of the Indonesian people during Eid 2023 is still high, both for the purpose of going home and back and for spending the Eid holidays.

AP I noted that the number of passenger movements during the two days of Eid 2023 has increased by 28 percent compared to the number of passenger movements on the two days of Eid 2022 of 242,227 movements.
Aircraft movements have increased by 12 percent compared to the number of aircraft movements in the same period in 2022 of 2,146 movements.
Meanwhile, the three AP I airports with the highest number of passenger movements during the two days of Eid 2023, namely Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with 123,678 passenger movements, Juanda Airport in Surabaya with 59,924 passenger movements, and Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar Airport with 36,007 passenger movements.
“For the peak return flow, we predict it will occur on April 25 with projected figures of 220,000 passenger movements and 1,800 aircraft movements. Reflecting on the actual movement of passengers and aircraft during the homecoming flow on April 19 which was higher than the projection, it is very likely that the actual number will be realized. the movement of passengers and aircraft at the peak of the return flow will also be higher than the projected figure,” said Faik.

Apart from that, AP I also noted that it has served 2,160,694 passenger movements since the opening of the 2023 Eid al-Fitr post on Friday (14/4) to Monday (24/4). This number experienced a growth of 38 percent compared to the number of passenger movements in the same period at the 2022 Eid al-Fitr post, which totaled 1,561,331 movements.
For aircraft movements, a total of 18,436 movements have been served during the 11 days of operational posts or experienced a growth of 29 percent compared to the number of aircraft movements in the same period at the 2022 Eid al-Fitr post of 14,258 movements.
“During the 11 days of the Eid 2023 post operation, the average daily passenger movement at our 15 airports reached 196 thousand passenger movements per day, far above the average daily passenger movement in the 11 day operational period of the Eid 2022 post which reached 142 thousand movements. We urge people who wish to travel using air transportation to prepare themselves by completing flight requirements, arriving at the airport early and always implementing strict health protocols,” said Faik.
