The former mayor of Kendari admits to lobet after being questioned by the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor’s Office – Rifyu.com

Kendari (Rifyu.com) – The former Mayor of Kendari, with the initial SK, admitted to being “low bat” after undergoing an examination at the Southeast Sulawesi Attorney General’s Office, as a witness regarding alleged corruption related to licensing for Alfamidi/Alfamart outlets which had ensnared the Regional Secretary of Kendari City with the initial RT.

“It’s been low… it’s been low,” said the former Mayor of Kendari with the initials SK while smiling before the media crew, after undergoing questioning as a witness at the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor’s Office in Kendari, Thursday.

The former Mayor for the period January 22 2019 to October 10 2022, replaced the mayor at that time due to being caught by the law claiming to be lowbat after undergoing an examination for approximately seven hours. He left the Southeast Sulawesi Attorney’s Office at around 19.39 WITA wearing a sturdy white shirt, long black pants and wearing glasses.

The former mayor of Kendari arrived at the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor’s Office at around 09.30 WITA, then underwent questioning as a witness until 12.00 WITA. Then rested and returned to undergo questioning at the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor’s Office at around 13.40 WITA who was accompanied by his lawyer named Muhammad Ridwan Zainal.

He who is also the chairman of the Southeast Sulawesi Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Regional Management Board (DPW), did not comment much other than admitting that he was low bat. He then rushed to a white luxury car that had been parked in the courtyard of the Southeast Sulawesi Attorney General’s Office.

He entered the car and sat in the back seat on the left. After that, the person who was elected Deputy Mayor of Kendari for the 2018-2022 period, then served as Acting Mayor of Kendari for the period March 2 2018 to January 21 2019, left the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor’s Office at around 19.40 WITA.

Previously, the Head of the Legal Information Section of the Prosecutor’s Office for Southeast Sulawesi, Dody, said that during the examination as a witness, investigators asked 35 questions about the former Mayor of Kendari, with the initial SK.

“Earlier there were 35 questions that were raised by the investigation team and later Monday, March 27, 2023, another examination will be carried out on those concerned,” said Dody.

He conveyed that the second examination of the former Mayor of Kendari City would be resumed on Monday (27/3) which was scheduled for around 09.00 WITA, with the agenda of examining as a witness.

“So there will still be more questions that will be raised by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office,” said Dody.

Dody said that the status of the former Mayor of Kendari was still a witness in the alleged bribery case for the licensing of PT Midi Utama Indonesia (MUI), which is the company holding the Alfamidi outlet license.

In this case, the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor’s Office has named the Kendari City Secretary with the initials RT who is the former Head of the Kendari Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappeda) as a suspect in the alleged bribery case for PT Midi Utama Indonesia (MUI) licensing.

Kendari Regional Secretary was named as a suspect along with a man with the initials SM who is an Expert Team for the Mayor of Kendari City Development Acceleration in the Field of Planning, Management of Regional Excellence with the Kendari Mayor’s Decree for 2021-2022.

Dody added, the two suspects, namely the Kendari Regional Secretary and the mayor’s expert with the initials SM, were again undergoing further investigation today at the same time as the former Kendari Mayor’s initial SK.

He explained that after undergoing further examination, the two suspects were returned to the Class II Kendari Detention Center because they were detained by the Southeast Sulawesi Attorney General’s Office for the next 20 days since being named suspects on Monday (13/3).

“The detention of the two suspects is for the purposes of investigation in order to uncover corruption crimes committed by the suspects,” said Dody.
