Jakarta (Rifyu.com) – After the success of the all-electric Smart #1 some time ago, this automotive company is reported to have continued this step by launching Smart #3 at the Shanghai Auto Show next month.

Smart #3 has quite a large dimension, but is shorter than that of the Volkswagen ID.5. Leaked images from China’s Ministry of Information Technology in November reveal the crossover’s overall styling, as reported by InsideEv on Thursday local time.

The design of this vehicle bears a resemblance to what the company has launched before. However, the #3 adopts a coupe-like styling, giving it a sloping windshield and a sloping roofline.

“The new EV will be bigger, roomier and sportier,” said Smart Europe CEO Dirk Adelmann.

Leaked information from last year reveals that the #3 will have at least two power outputs, possibly indicating a single and dual motor setup. The two power options produce 152 horsepower or 268 hp, which is similar to the output of the Smart #1.

Brabus offers a tuned version of #1 which can produce up to 442 hp, and many of its fans would love it if #3 had the same options offered on #1.

Smart will reveal the #3 on April 17th and will go on sale in China at the end of the year. However, it claims that this vehicle will not reach the European market until 2024.
