Jakarta (Rifyu.com) – Persebaya Surabaya coach Aji Santoso asked his team to focus on the match against Persik Kediri in Week 31 of the Indonesian League 1 soccer competition at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, Saturday.
Quoted from the official Indonesian League website, Friday, Aji said the match against Persik Kediri was a prestige-laden match called the East Java Derby.
He wants the players to forget the bad results in the previous match and face the next match with high motivation to end the series of bad results.
“I told them the match against Persik had to start with a new spirit and in good conditions fresh,” said Aji.

The former Indonesian national team player explained that now the training program being applied to his team is fresher so that Ze Valente and his colleagues can enjoy it.
Aji hopes that the match against Persik will become the turning point for Persebaya to win to increase the morale and mentality of the players in the remaining matches this season.
“Enough training happy even though there is a serious element too but still in the element fun,” said Aji.
“Hopefully our opponent Persik can break the negative trend. All are in good condition, all are participating in training, no one is absent,” he concluded.
In the match against Persik, Persebaya is certainly aiming for victory after failing to get full points in the last five matches.
It was recorded that Persebaya had to be defeated by Bali United, PSM Makassar and Barito Putera and played a draw against Rans Nusantara FC and Persib Bandung.
Currently, the Bajul Ijo squad is currently ranked 8th in the Indonesian League 1 with a score of 39 points from 27 matches.
