Jakarta (ANTARA) – State Forestry Public Company or commonly abbreviated as Perum Perhutani won the 2022 Indonesian National Standard (SNI) Award bronze rating for the category of large organizations in the agro and tourism sector products.
Commercial Director of Perum Perhutani Ahmad Ibrahim said the award was proof that his company had consistently applied Indonesian national standards.
“Achieving this award can spur companies to consistently implement SNI and improve performance so that they can achieve a good rating,” he said in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday.
Ahmad explained that his company has participated in the awarding of the SNI Award three times this year, and this time it received a bronze rating.
The SNI Award is the highest award from the central government to organizations that are considered to have implemented a good operational management system and have consistently applied Indonesian national standards.
Perhutani applies SNI to the types of products issued by the company, namely types of wood products (testing, measurement, table of contents, test method, marking for round wood types, marking classification, measurement of sawn timber), non-timber products (pine sap, gondorukem, oil turpentine, alpha pinane, eucalyptus oil), natural tourism environmental services (therapeutic tourism, CHSE, natural tourism management), and planning (land cover classification).
The Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that standardization aims to improve quality assurance, production efficiency, healthy national competitiveness and standardization can also protect business actors, consumers, workers and safety as well as environmental sustainability.
Meanwhile, Head of BSN Kukuh Achmad stated that the application of this SNI could protect the public and could become a reference for companies and organizations to improve their performance.
