Jakarta (ANTARA) – World record holder and two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge will make his debut at the Boston Marathon on April 17, 2023, the NN Running team announced on Thursday.
“I am pleased to announce in April I will be racing in the Boston Marathon. A new chapter in my Abbott World Marathon journey,” said Kipchoge.
The 28-year-old Kenyan runner has won 15 of the 17 marathons he has entered and has won four of the six Abbot World Marathon Majors.
After winning in Chicago in 2014, Kipchoge continued his success by winning four titles in London (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019), and in Berlin (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022) and once in Tokyo in 2022.
Apart from Boston, one Marathon Major tournament that Kipchoge has never participated in is in New York.
