ANTARA – The Riau Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has officially revoked the emergency alert status for forest and land fires in Riau which ended on November 30. During 2022 or since the Karhutla emergency alert status was established in early 2022, the total area of land that was burned and successfully extinguished was 1,249.97 hectares, and Riau was again successfully free from the haze disaster, since the last incident occurred in 2019.
